Each project is directed by our senior
personnel, and our directors actively participate
in our assignments - we do not believe in winning
an assignment and then handing it off to 'juniors'

Clients engage us in many ways. In recent
times this has included providing a complete
project management service, relieving our client
of involvement in routine matters. It has meant
providing staff to supplement a client’s
own resources, working together as one team.
In other instances we have provided our clients
with specialist advisory services such as project
auditing or due diligence assessments.
We’ve also undertaken discrete management
tasks such as providing representation on steering
committees.

History
McLachlan Lister traces its history back to
1973, when Alex McLachlan founded McLachlan
Investments Pty Limited as the first significant
firm of management consultants in Australia
that specialised in capital works projects.
"McLachlan's" became the largest firm of
its kind, and was a pioneer of much of the
project management industry now in existence
today. Over a period of 30 years, the company
acted for clients on over 2,000 projects with
a combined capital value in excess of $30 billion.
Alex McLachlan and Russell Lister established
McLachlan Lister in 1998, with the objective
of providing an independent voice for clients
involved in major property and infrastructure
projects and assets.
While the company has a long track record
of involvement with some of Australia's largest
property projects, it works closely with clients
and projects of all sizes and nature - from
small non-profit organisations to government
departments, and some of Australia's largest
property developers to boutique firms.
The Company continues to grow, and has now
played a leading role on projects with a combined
value in excess of $15 billion.
